Default Park Assist led to scratched rims

I'm new here and searched to see if anyone has had this problem, but didn't find anything. If you know a thread on this, please direct me to it. Thanks.
So, I had my new 2016 200C about three days and decided to try the parallel park assist. It was evening and dark and had been a rainy day. The first time I tried it, it worked and all was ok. I call my niece out to see, we go around the block, and do it again. This time after it backed me up, straightened out the wheel and wanted me to pull forward, I was too close to the curb and we both heard the rim scratch the curb. Now I have two places the front rim is scratched, has anyone had a problem like this?
